Publish Presence - SoftPhones¶
Publish Presence means activating and transmitting the user's presence status from SoftPhone applications to the communication server, so that other users can see it in real time.
Example:
If you are connected with a softphone and receive a call, your status automatically becomes "On a call".
If you close the application, the status is published as "Offline".
Please note! - Do not add SUBSCRIBE PRESENCE for contacts defined by mobile numbers, because the SoftPhone status cannot be synchronized.
1. For users using Zoiper Pro¶
1.1. If you have the Zoiper 5 PRO version (the paid version) please uncheck the PUBLISH PRESENCE option that you find in the Edit account -> Advanced -> Features section
Leave only the SUBSCRIBE PRESENCE option enabled - the option is only valid for Zoiper Pro¶

1.2. To view the user's status - add the contact for which you want to display your status¶

1.3. Edit the added contact as follows:
Add the contact details (Last name, First name, Company, Display name)
Click the Add an additional field button -> Choose Field type Phone -> Click Add and fill in the following:
- Phone: contact extension added from the PBX
- Dial Account: choose your account
- Presence Account: choose your account

2. For users using Microsip¶
2.1. Make sure that in the Edit Account section you have unchecked the Publish Presence option¶

2.2. To view the user's status - add the contact for whom you want to display your status.
Select the Contacts tab -> right click ADD¶

2.3. Edit the contact by adding:
- Name: Contact name
- Number: contact extension added from the telephone exchange
- Check the Presence Subscription option
